Welcome to our website.
The Contra Costa Wine Group (CCWG) Mission is to educate and encourage home winemakers to excel in their craft.
The CCWG Vision is to offer a forum where beginners can feel part of the group from their first meeting, where all can continue to learn techniques to improve their home winemaking skills and where we demystify the science to create a thoroughly enjoyable atmosphere for all as we go from vine to wine to bottle to glass. We encourage and support all members in their winemaking endeavors, including those who plant their own vineyards in a desire to create estate grown wine.
Monthly meetings are held in various locations in Contra Costa County, some in member's homes. Several meetings are dedicated to providing feedback on member's wines and include Nouveau Night, the Annual Wine Competition and the presentation of awards where members provide cellar notes for their award winning wine.
